Ernie Hendrickson graduated Cum Laude with Certificate in University Honors in Music from Illinois State University. He has performed as professional guitarist since 1994, sharing the stage with performers such as Jon Scofield, Fareed Haque, Victor Wooten, Merle Saunders, Jerry Garcia Band with Melvin Seals, Leftover Salmon and many more. Ernie was a bandleader, singer, songwriter and guitarist for regional touring band, The Seed Band. He also performed as a part of the Illinois State University Jazz Ensemble and Classical Guitar Ensemble for 4 years. Ernie has been teaching music since 1994. He has years of experience teaching private and group guitar lessons, as well as general music in both private and group settings. Ernie carries a position in the music industry that allows him to share his expertise as an instructor, performer and composer. He seeks the very best for all of his students, striving to ensure quality musical education.

My best gig: My CD release show in Chicago (December 07) where Howard Levy played the whole show in addition to a string quartet. It was magical!

How I am making the world a better place: By making good music! I am also an avid recycler / conservationist and I am a member of the Jane Goodall Institute.
