Music teacher who inspired me the most:
I have been fortunate enough to have been able to study with a few different people who had very different approaches to guitar. I would say the two most influential were Fareed Haque and Denis Azabagic.
Favorite quote about music: “I know what a sextet is, but I'd rather not say.” ~ From a grade school essay on classical music
My best gig: I played the Latino Symphonic Festival a few years ago. It was great because there were a lot of great musicians playing that night.
Favorite classical piece: Nights in the Gardens of Spain by Manuel De Falla
Favorite rock band: Black Sabbath
Favorite jazz artist: Miles Davis
Favorite singer: Teresa Berganza
How I am making the world a better place:
I think everything we do on a day to day basis can have an impact on the world we live in. Everything from recycling to the way you treat people to donating to a charity can all make a difference to someone.
