Jonny Untch began his musical career studying privately at The Music Room. He has now received his Bachelors Degree in Instrumental Music Education from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. At the University he studied guitar with Young-Sook Kim, and Clarinet with Professor J. David Harris. At school he had experience performing and teaching classical, jazz, rock, and blues on many instruments.
Jonny also performs with his own Palatine based rock band. They have been performing for eight years together and have played at venues across the Midwest including The Rave/Eagles Club, The Canopy Club, Sears Center, Alexian Field, and Durty Nellies. He recently completed his student teaching with Rolling Meadows High School and Cooper Middle School and is now teaching Band at Woodland Intermediate School, and teaching guitar, bass, piano, and woodwinds privately.
