Lindsey Lindstrom

Scheduling Coordinator

Lindsey Lindstrom has been an employee of The Music Room since January of 1999. Over the last 10 years, she has done everything from selling product, to renting instruments, to signing students up for lessons.

Although she is not a musician, Lindsey has a passion for music, and loves being in the presence of those who make it! Lindsey has the ability to communicate and relate to people on many levels. Her position as Scheduling Coordinator has given her the opportunity to meet, greet and serve all of TMR’s amazing students, parents, staff, customers and members of the community.

In 2007, Lindsey and her husband Jonathan welcomed their beautiful little girl Alivia into the world. Lindsey adores being a mother, and feels privileged to be able to stay at home with Alivia, while still being a part of The Music Room.

Name: Lindsey Lindstrom

College: Judson University

Major: English/Communications

At The Music Room since: January 11, 1999

First piece of music that had a profound effect on me: I was in 7th grade and got the solo part in our choir concert singing a Barbra Streisand song (for the life of me I can't remember the name of it). It was because of this song that I decided to keep singing through high school.

Music teacher who inspired me the most: Robert Green (Fremd High School) - I was in the very first choir he ever taught.

Favorite quote about music:  "Music is a higher revelation than all wisdom and philosophy. Music is the electrical soil in which the spirit lives, thinks and invents" ~ Beethoven

My best gig: Motherhood

Favorite classical piece: “Moonlight Sonata” by Beethoven

Favorite rock band:  This question is almost impossible to answer! It always depends on my mood...I love dozens of rock bands from Rolling Stones to Radiohead

Favorite jazz artist:  Medeski, Martin and Wood

Favorite singer:  Bjork

How I am making the world a better place: I try to be as kind as possible to everyone I meet. There is something contagious about kindness and being good to one another. I think if everyone made the effort to be kind before anything else, we'd live in a much different world.
