Meredith Boulet

Voice, Piano, Flute

Meredith has been singing for as long as she can remember. She began studying piano at age four and composed songs for voice and guitar at the age of twelve. A native of Madison, WI, Meredith performed with the Children’s Theatre of Madison and sang with her high school jazz band. Her love of folk music found her playing original songs at local coffeehouses. Meredith received her Bachelor’s degree in vocal music education from the Lawrence University Conservatory of Music in Appleton, WI in 1995. In addition to singing in several ensembles, she performed in three operas, studied voice, vocal pedagogy, and conducting.

Meredith has taught music in Antioch, IL and at National-Lewis University, in Evanston, IL. Although “Lyric Soprano” is her main instrument, Meredith continues to play piano, guitar, flute, and recorder. She enjoys composing songs and often arranges music to better suit her students’ ranges and abilities. Meredith

performs regularly at her church and is a current member of the Countryside Madrigal Singers and The Chicago Sacred

Harp Singers.
