Mike Keeney
Guitar, Bass Guitar, Piano
Michael Keeney had first begun his musical training at the Chicago Academy for the Arts and then went on to study Jazz Composition at Berklee College of Music in Boston. It was here he gained experience as a composer, arranger and producer for many high-profile shows in the Boston area. Later, he went on to study with the accredited jazz master Charlie Banacos for several years until his relocation in the Chicago area. In 2006, the self-titled CD "The Mike Keeney Trio" was released to the public. The debut album has since sold hundreds of copies around the globe and can be found on iTunes and CDBaby.com.
Mike has had extensive experience in the teaching field both with private students and those he has received in a classroom setting. He takes pride in a very positive, enthusiastic approach, which he puts forth to all of his students while meeting the individual needs for varying skill levels.
