Cost & Payment Options
Regularly scheduled private lessons are $25 for a 30 minute lesson. Floating private lessons are $28 for a 30 minute lesson.
Payment for lesson tuition is due in full in advance of each session, according to the dates listed in each renewal email. The Music Room accepts cash, checks, Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express.
If you have enrolled in a house account, your payments will be settled automatically through your credit card or by bank draft through our affiliation with Palatine Bank & Trust.
House Accounts
If you like, we can take care of your renewal automatically on your credit card. This eliminates the need to remember to renew on time. It also creates a house account in your name. If you need books or materials throughout the session, these can be put on your house account and will be settled along with tuition. House accounts are always settled on the fourth Saturday of the month, in advance of the upcoming month. 2010 session dates can be viewed here.
We must be notified via email to registration@the-music-room.net if you intend to discontinue automatic processing.
Stopping Lessons (becoming inactive)
When you give us twenty-four hours notice in writing of your decision to discontinue, any pre-paid lessons remaining in the session will be refunded in the form of a credit slip.
Credit slips may be used towards future lesson enrollment (private or group) and do not expire. We do not issue cash or credit card refunds for lessons.
Notification must be in writing via email to registration@the-music-room.net in order for credit slips to be issued. Notifying your teacher alone will not secure a credit slip. Teachers do not have access to the scheduling calendar.
Floating
If you anticipate recurring conflicts with locking into a regular time slot, floating is a viable option. Floating gives you the flexibility to schedule lessons one at a time according to a variable schedule. A major credit card is required and payment is taken when the lesson is scheduled.
Ready to enroll?
So that we can answer all your questions in a non-rushed and comfortable setting, please schedule an appointment for a consultation to register for lessons in person.
Due to the volume of information exchanged during the registration process, we do not register for private lessons over the phone.
